I'm Amy, an End-of-Life Doula based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Through Compassionate Connection, I walk alongside people as they prepare for, navigate, and make sense of life's final chapters. Whether their own, a loved one's, or a precious animal's, I offer support that's both practical and deeply human.
Because I’ve been there too. Overwhelmed by the unknowns and the decisions I didn't know could be made differently.
Looking back, my family could have had an experience guided by understanding and calm, instead of uncertainty and fear. That's what I want for you.
What is an End-of-Life doula?
The word doula comes from ancient Greek meaning, 'one who serves.' An End-of-Life Doula (or Death Doula) is a trained, non-medical guide offering informed practical, emotional, and spiritual support to the ageing, those living with a life-limiting illness, and to the people who love them.
Over time, our communities have lost much of the knowledge and confidence that once surrounded death and dying. As End-of-Life Doulas, we've made it our mission to reclaim and share it, to help people feel more prepared and supported.
We are not a replacement for doctors, nurses, palliative care teams, or caregivers. Think of us as an additional layer of support to help create a more holistic circle of care.
